It’s possible to insure most expensive equipment if you feel that it needs to be insured for whatever reason. Take – for example – hired equipment such as cameras or other media equipment, some choices you might be faced with when it comes to insuring the equipment might be which type of insurance or risk prevention policy you would want to opt for. You might have a choice between an all risks policy on hired-in equipment or an all risks policy on hired-out equipment. Essentially, the hired-in policy is against stuff that you yourself have hired and covers you against temporary repairing of damaged property, hire/rental of replacement stuff following a loss up to a specified amount, any legal costs one might incur in pursuit of rights of recovery. Hired-out protects you against similar things, such as any damage or loss of equipment that you yourself might want to hire out to anyone. Some further policies, such as engineering policies, will cover damage to any machinery at your premises or place of work, like unforeseen damage/breakdown or any accidental damage that might be incurred.
